What is encryption & decryption?

What is Encryption? What is Decryption? A process which reverses the process of encryption. Using the key, the ciphertext will be converted back to plaintext. Ready to get started?

What is cryptography based on?

Today, cryptography is based on computer science practices and mathematical theory. There are two main types of cryptography used for digital data and secure messages today: symmetric cryptography and asymmetric cryptography. Hash functions, a third type, doesn’t involve use of a key.

What is secret key cryptography?

Secret key cryptography, also known as symmetric encryption, uses a single key to encrypt and decrypt a message. The sender encrypts the plaintext message using the key and sends it to the recipient who then uses the same key to decrypt it and unlock the original plaintext message.

What is the difference between cryptography and symmetrical cryptography?

Cryptography is a form of securing digital data and messages often using special keys that only the sender and recipient have access to. Cryptography uses mathematical systems and algorithms to encrypt and decrypt data. Symmetrical cryptography uses the same key for both encryption and decryption.
